Sydsjælland is home to gorgeous tourist attractions, plenty of fine places to eat, and natural wonders that will take your breath away. People of any age can visit this area and find some amazing sights that they will remember for the rest of their lives.

Accommodation in South Zealand

Top Attractions in South Zealand:-

Møns Klint

Møns Klint is a six kilometer stretch of amazing chalk cliffs that overlook the Baltic Sea. More than a quarter million people visit these cliffs every year, and the reason is obvious. Aside from the natural beauty of the region, the cliffs are teeming with fossils, making them a natural museum that tracks life back more than 11,000 years to the last Ice Age. The chalk of the cliffs also feeds many rare plants, creating amazing forests and giving life to beautiful orchids in the area.

Nørre Alslev

Located on the island of Falster, Nørre Alslev is a small town of about 2,300 people that features some terrific local cuisine and beer as well as many historical landmarks. Most well-known among these landmarks is the Nørre Alslev Church, which was constructed in 1308 and has the best-known fresco of the Dance of Death in the entire world. Kept carefully preserved throughout history, this site is a terrific place for people who are interested in learning more about the art and history of the Middle Ages.

Næstved

The largest shopping area in Sydsjælland, Næstved is a great location for people who are trying to take in some of the local culture or just looking for souvenirs. The municipality has several huge shopping centers, including the Næstved Mega Center and the Næstved Stor Center, which have more than 100 shops between the two of them. The City Centre is another popular area in Næstved, with a large pedestrian square that dates all the way back to the founding of the city.

Kalundborg

A small city with a population of just over 16,000 people, Kalundborg is a seaport with terrific views, access to the sea, and wonderful tourist attractions. The city has many fine breweries and pubs for those interested in sampling local beer, including locations such as the Kings Pub, which is frequented by a younger crowd, and Havkatten, which draws an older clientele. The High Town of Kalundborg was once a fortified medieval town, and many of the major pieces of architecture, such as the Church of Our Lady and the city wall, are available for viewing by tourists.

South Zealand and its surroundings remain one of the most beautiful spots in all of Europe. Those who wish to see the real Denmark and get a sense of its past as well as its present should strongly consider a trip to the region.
